Athletic Trainer / Physical Therapy /Full Time / Days

Provides personal care and professional excellence by providing patient care services as specified under the direction of a qualified supervisor.

*** $10,000 Sign-On Bonus ***

Job Duties:

1.​ Perform detailed athlete/patient assessments by obtaining medical histories, conducting physical and functional evaluations, and documenting all clinical findings accurately in the clinical information system.

2. Provide athlete/patient education and instruction on preoperative preparation, postoperative protocols, wound care, mobility training, and rehabilitation exercises to promote optimal recovery and outcomes.

3. Remove and apply dressings, sutures, casts, and splints, fitting and instructing patients on durable medical equipment (DME) and assistive devices following aseptic technique and all physician orders.

4. Collaborate with the surgical and clinical team to coordinate care, ensure compliance with quality and safety standards, manage referrals and scheduling, and support an athletic/patient-centered environment.

5. Prepare, prevent, protect and respond to support our culture of safety.

6. Works hours per week in accordance with offer letter or per attributes of position at transfer request. May be expected to work longer hours as necessary. 7. Other duties as assigned.

This position is primarily located at the High School campus for the majority of the time.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in athletic training   

    License: Ohio athletic training license

    Certification:

  • Board of Certification (BOC) for Athletic Trainers  
  • BLS
