Phlebotomist I

Full Time 

York County Community Action Corporation (YCCAC) is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Phlebotomist I to join our team at Nasson Health Care. As part of a Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH), you'll work alongside providers, nurses, behavioral health professionals, and care management staff to deliver high-quality, comprehensive primary care to our patients.

As a Phlebotomist I, you will:

  • Collect blood and other laboratory specimens using venipuncture and capillary techniques while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Verify patient identity and accurately label, process, and prepare specimens for laboratory testing.
  • Perform in-office diagnostic testing and treatments according to clinical protocols.
  • Educate patients on proper specimen collection for blood, urine, stool, and culture testing.
  • Follow infection prevention, aseptic technique, and standard safety precautions.
  • Document patient care accurately within the electronic health record (EHR) and patient portal.

Required Qualifications

  • Certificate in Phlebotomy.
  • Strong knowledge of venipuncture and specimen collection techniques.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Experience using an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
  • Must be eligible to work under federal grant requirements and not have an active record on the System for Award Management (SAM).

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of phlebotomy experience in a medical practice or healthcare setting.

 

Nasson Health Care is an eligible site for the National Health Service Corps. Student Loan Repayment Program.
