Physical Therapist/ Physical Therapy/ Full Time/ Days

Provides personal care and professional excellence by organizing and conducting medically referred physical therapy in the hospital to restore function and prevent disability following disease, injury, or loss of a body part; helps patient reach his maximum performance and assume a place in society while learning to live within the limits of his/her capabilities.

MAJOR TASKS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provides personal care and professional excellence by delivering direct patient care including evaluations, treatment planning and family/home education as well as maintaining appropriate records.
2. Demonstrates appropriate skills required to treat neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
3. Properly supervises and effectively instructs supportive staff as needed.
4. Assists in the proper orientation and supervision of new employees including PTs, PTAs and P.T. Aides.
5. Assists in the proper development and implementation of department Q.A. studies.
6. Assists the senior physical therapist in discharge planning activities and in-house inservice as needed.
7. Participates on hospital committees serving general employee benefit.
8. Provides therapy services as required to other agencies who have contracts with WCH.


EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate of Science in Physical Therapy and Licensed in Ohio.
