Job Description

As a Security Officer Overnight in Sanford, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, where you will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. In this role, you will bring an agile, reliable, and innovative approach while working as part of a team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, warehouses, shipping and receiving zones, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity by verifying credentials, directing visitors, and reporting unauthorized persons and/or suspicious behavior.
• Communicate with site contacts, supervisors, and/or first responders regarding security-related concerns, maintenance issues, and incidents that may impact daily operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
