Experienced Maintenance Technician

Description

Apartment communities in Sanford seeking an experienced self-motivated and dependable individual to join our team. Under direction will be responsible for the on-going maintenance and upkeep of buildings, equipment, facilities and grounds. Strong working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repair required. Excellent communication skills are also essential as this position involves coordinating on a regular basis with management and coworkers, residents, and subcontractors.   

BROAD SCOPE OF DUTIES:

• repairs to appliances and fixtures
• patch holes in walls
• paint building interiors
• clean vacant units and interior spaces
• miscellaneous carpentry repairs
• change locks
• grounds keeping, landscaping and snow removal

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience coordinating apartment turnovers, capital projects, or major repairs 
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and inspection protocols 
• Knowledge of workplace safety, OSHA practices, and building-code requirements
• Ability to maintain accurate work-order, inventory, and inspection records 

All members of the maintenance staff participate in a rolling on-call calendar.
