About the role

We are seeking a Customer Marketing Manager to join our marketing team. This role is responsible for translating brand marketing strategies into customer-specific programs for KRP’s key retail and foodservice partners. The Customer Marketing Manager collaborates closely with customer merchandising teams, internal sales partners, and marketing leadership to ensure initiatives align with brand strategy while meeting customer requirements and shopper insights. This position also leverages sales trends, shopper behavior data, and performance metrics to optimize marketing investments and deliver measurable results across key accounts.


What You'll Do

Customer Strategy & Program Development

  • Translate brand marketing strategies into customized programs for retail and operator partners that deliver on growth objectives for key customer accounts.
  • Develop and implement initiatives including in-store displays, signage, retail media placements, menu innovation, and promotional activations for both in-store and away-from-home.
  • Ensure programs reflect brand standards while meeting customer requirements and operational feasibility.

Relationship Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  •  Build and maintain strategic relationships with retailer and operator merchandising teams and internal sales partners to influence customer strategies, merchandising decisions, and business outcomes, driving alignment and program success. Collaborate with Brand Managers, Creative, and Sales teams to ensure targeted customer programs are visually compelling, on-brand, and operationally feasible.

Data Analysis & Performance Optimization

  • Analyze sales and channel trends, menu trends, shopper behavior, and program KPIs to refine customer-specific marketing strategies and maximize ROI.
  • Track program performance and prepare post-program analysis to provide actionable insights for Marketing and Sales leadership.

Budget & Execution Oversight

  • Monitor and manage customer-specific marketing budgets across accounts for efficient allocation of resources.
  • Support and guide field personnel (as applicable) to ensure effective program execution across key retail partners.

Industry Awareness & Continuous Improvement

  • Stay informed on retail merchandising trends, retail media innovations, and shopper marketing best practices.
  • Stay informed on foodservice channel trends, operator needs, menu innovation, and away-from-home marketing best practices.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, innovation, and operational efficiency.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in retail merchandising, shopper marketing, or trade marketing, with a preference for experience in the produce, consumer packaged goods (CPG), food, or beverage industries. Previous management experience is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to customize marketing programs in key retail and operator partner accounts and support field execution.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data to optimize merchandising strategies and program performance.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with both internal teams and retail partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with retail execution tools or e-commerce content management systems preferred.
  • Ability to travel regularly for store visits, customer meetings, and trade shows.


Physical Demands & Abilities

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and work from a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, including displays and merchandising materials.
