Job Description

Job Title:          Human Resources Manager

Department:     HR

Reports To:      SVP, HR

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS: This role is responsible for the direct execution of advanced data analytics, converting workforce metrics into actionable business intelligence. The HR Manager serves as the primary lead for employee relations, regulatory compliance, and the development of high-level personnel infrastructure. By focusing on the "Total Employee Lifecycle" post-hire, this individual ensures that the organization remains a high-performance environment backed by data-driven strategy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Administer various human resources plans and procedures for all organization personnel.
  • Lead the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
  • Prepares and maintains the employee handbook and policies and procedures manual.
  • Participates in developing departmental goals, objectives, and systems.
  • Oversees benefits administration; including claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefits information to employees.
  • Files required compliance reports, and maintains other records.
  • Assists in recruitment process for all exempt and nonexempt personnel.
  • Oversees new-employee orientations; monitors career-pathing program; and reviews advertisements.
  • Handles employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing.
  • Maintains company organization charts and the employee directory.
  • Evaluates reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established strategic goals.
  • Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department.
  • Maintains human resource information system records and compiles strategic reports from the database.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business, or related field from a reputable, accredited university.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 8 years of total human resources experience in a mid-to-large company.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Human Resources Management role in a mid-to-large company.
  • Human resources experience in a public company is a plus. 

ASSESSMENT:

  • Candidates may be required to complete a Wonderlic assessment as part of the screening process.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • This position is in an office setting with computer and general office equipment.
  • The position requires the ability to move freely around within the department and other department locations.
