SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Director of Facility Services. Facilities Lead/Supervisor Engineer performs a variety of skilled mechanical tasks, oversees and assists in repair, servicing, and general maintenance of the hospital physical plant and equipment, such as boilers, pumps, air conditioning equipment, electrical, plumbing and carpentry, coordinates Preventive and Corrective Maintenance of all equipment and systems to ensure timely completion and meets regulatory and licensure requirements. Maintains high productivity and performs efficiently regardless of whether the work volume is high or low. Responds to difficult situations with self-control and a positive attitude. Responsible for completing monthly reports in a timely manner.  Inspects equipment, building and grounds for discrepancies and takes action to correct them.  Works with Director to ensure that PM’s and Correctives are maintained in a cost-effective manner.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum Experience: 6 (six) months experience preferredÂ
- Required Licensure/ Certifications: MAB (90 days upon hire)Â
- Must be knowledgeable of medical equipment and know how to operate and maintain facility boiler equipment
- Must have knowledge of the following: electrical systems, plumbing systems, air conditioning systems and repair of minor building materials to the facility. He/she must be able to handle circumstances and take immediate action
- Full command (verbal and written) of the English languageÂ
- Possesses the physical ability and perceptive acuity, (e.g., visual, hearing) to satisfactorily perform assigned duties
