SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for making daily rounds of all boilers, chillers, pumps, air compressors, vacuum pumps, hallway lighting and exit lights. They perform a daily medical gas inventory, must handle all work orders and Preventative Maintenance that are assigned to him/her, and assists in the security program. This position is under the supervision of the Engineering Supervisor and reports to the Director of Plant Operations.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum Experience: 6 (six) months experience preferred
- Required Licensure/ Certifications: MAB (90 days upon hire)
- Must be knowledgeable of medical equipment and know how to operate and maintain facility boiler equipment
- Must have knowledge of the following: electrical systems, plumbing systems, air conditioning systems and repair of minor building materials to the facility. They must be able to handle circumstances and take immediate action
- Full command (verbal and written) of the English language
- Possesses the physical ability and perceptive acuity, (e.g., visual, hearing) to satisfactorily perform assigned duties
