Job Summary

In this role you will be responsible for providing a variety of fresh and unique meat items to our customers. A Meat Cutter assists with answering questions and special orders, while maintaining a positive, and friendly, customer focused work environment. As a Meat Cutter, you are responsible for practicing safe food handling procedures and a high level of product knowledge and preparation techniques. If you have a friendly and outgoing personality, have a passion for food and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, then this is the position for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Works safely at all times and follows all established safety guidelines and procedures
• Receives, unloads, and stores product delivery. Breaks down, trims and package beef, pork, lamb, and poultry products
• Prepares specialty merchandise like sausage, ready-to-cook products, and cured meats
• Explains cooking techniques for all meats and cuts to the customer
• Responds promptly to customer needs and questions and requests assistance when necessary
• Performs other duties as required or requested by management

Physical Requirements

• Able to work prolonged periods of time in an environment with fluctuating temperature ranges
• Able to stand prolonged periods of time
• Able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
• Available to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends & holidays
