About the Role
This outpatient orthopedic clinic group operates five locations across Orange County and LA County, and manual therapy is a core part of how patients are treated rather than an add-on to an exercise-based model.
You will work one-on-one with each patient for the first thirty minutes of the visit, then hand off to an aide who finishes the session. Patients are typically in clinic for about an hour total.
Location
Santa Ana, CA. This is the group's most emergent opening, with a target start as soon as possible.
Schedule
The clinic runs Monday through Friday, with hours as early as 7 AM and as late as 6 PM. A typical day is 7 AM to 4 PM or 8 AM to 5 PM, an eight-hour workday plus a one-hour lunch. The role is salaried, so there is some flexibility to stay a little later when needed to finish with patients.
Compensation and Benefits
Pay is low $70s to low/mid $80s annually, plus a productivity bonus tied to patient volume.
Benefits include health insurance on a 50/50 employer-employee split through Anthem or Kaiser HMO/PPO plans with HSA and FSA options, employee-paid dental at roughly $20 to $40 per month through MetLife, and vision at roughly $20 per month through Anthem.
PTO starts at 10 days in year one and builds to a 15-day maximum by year three, alongside 5 sick days and 6 paid holidays: New Year's, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
Continuing education is funded at about $1,000 per year, which includes $800 in cash plus a MedBridge subscription. There is also a 401(k) program and reimbursement for PTA license and CPR renewal.
Requirements
Candidates must hold an active California PTA license. There is no strict minimum years of experience; what matters most is recent, ongoing manual therapy experience rather than total years in the field. Manual therapy exposure that is years old, or that came only from school or from skilled nursing and home health settings, is not a fit.
Candidates should be comfortable adapting to the clinic's EMR, which includes AI-assisted documentation, and generally open to learning new technology and workflows. Outpatient orthopedic and manual therapy backgrounds are strongly preferred.
Requirements
Interview Process
The process starts with a phone interview covering fit and background, followed by an in-person interview where manual therapy skills and patient interaction are assessed, along with a discussion of salary expectations. The client aims to respond to submitted candidates within 48 hours.
Team and Culture
Roughly 30 therapists work across the group's five locations at any given time. Team-building activities happen about weekly, and there are company-wide gatherings a few times a year, including a summer party and a Christmas party.
