Mission Yogurt is seeking a full-time Sushi Cook at our restaurant, TAPS Fish House & Brewery, in the John Wayne Airport!  A seafood and beer haven, TAPS Fish House has long been renowned for its hospitality and its craft of premium steak and seafood dishes. TAPS Fish House & Brewery offers travelers a unique, high-quality dining experience right inside John Wayne Airport.
The Sushi Chef is responsible for preparing sushi and sashimi while maintaining high standards for quality, freshness, and presentation. This role supports daily kitchen operations by preparing ingredients, maintaining proper food safety practices, and ensuring all sushi items are made consistently according to recipes and company standards. The ideal candidate has basic sushi preparation experience, strong knife skills, and thrives in a fast-paced team environment.

Job-Specific Duties:Â
- Prepare food according to Mission’s set standards;
- Aid fellow kitchen staff in the preparation of food items;
- Set up allocated stations as instructed by the Kitchen Manager;
- Embody and promote consistency and efficiency in food preparation, food handling, sanitization, and safety standards;
- Preparing sushi, sashimi, and other menu items according to company standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers!
- Must be able to pass a 10-year background check per TSA guidelines.

Physical Requirements:Â
Must be able to work on your feet for up to 12 hours. Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching overhead, and lifting products and supplies weighing 20 pounds, and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds, as well as repetitive hand and wrist motion.
