Help create a seamless, compassionate experience for pets and their families throughout the surgical process at Advanced Veterinary Specialists (AVS). As a Surgery Client Patient Liaison, you'll serve as the primary communication and coordination point between pet owners, board-certified veterinary surgeons, Veterinary Technicians, and support teams.
This non-clinical, client-facing veterinary role is ideal for an experienced Client Service Representative, Veterinary Receptionist, Patient Care Coordinator, or Veterinary Client Liaison who excels at communication, scheduling, organization, and helping clients navigate complex medical care.

As part of our Surgery team, you'll help coordinate the client experience from initial surgical consultation through follow-up care while working alongside highly skilled veterinary professionals in a collaborative specialty hospital environment.
In Your Day-to-Day, You Will
- Coordinate surgical consultations, appointments, follow-up visits, and client scheduling.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for Surgery clients, managing phone calls, messages, questions, and patient updates with compassion and professionalism.
- Guide pet owners through the surgical process while helping maintain clear communication between clients and the clinical team.
- Review treatment estimates and assist with billing, payments, pet insurance documentation, and financial questions.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records and documentation of appointments, client communications, and financial interactions.
- Collaborate with veterinary surgeons, Veterinary Technicians, and support staff to maintain efficient Surgery department workflow and continuity of patient care.
- Provide exceptional customer service while supporting clients through sensitive and potentially stressful situations.
What You Bring
- Experience in veterinary medicine, healthcare, medical reception, hospitality, or a client-facing customer service role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and client service skills.
- Strong scheduling, organization, time-management, and multitasking abilities.
- Experience with veterinary practice management software, scheduling systems, or electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
- Compassionate, proactive, detail-oriented approach to supporting clients and clinical teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced specialty veterinary hospital environment.
