Position Summary

We are seeking a highly analytical and collaborative Talent Insights Analyst to join the Talent Management COE. This newly created role will be critical in enabling data-driven talent decisions by delivering insights that inform leadership planning, succession, development, and workforce strategy.

You will be responsible for building world-class talent intelligence and people analytics practices at Agilent.  This will include extracting and analyzing data from Workday and other HR systems / sources to uncover trends, identify risks and opportunities, and support strategic decision-making. In addition to supporting the Talent Management COE, you will also partner with colleagues across HR—including Talent Acquisition, HR Digital and HR Business Partners—on initiatives where talent data and insights are essential to understanding and shaping talent outcomes.

Key responsibilities

  • Enable the Talent Management COE to deliver impactful outcomes by building robust talent intelligence tools and resources including analytics that support succession planning, leadership pipeline health, talent reviews, development strategy and more.

  • Build and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and reports that clearly communicate trends and performance against key talent metrics – independently creating and designing for impact.

  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, and other COEs to support cross-functional initiatives where talent data is critical (e.g., internal mobility, DEI, workforce planning).

  • Proactively translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for HR and business leaders.

  • Support the development of enterprise-wide talent reporting frameworks, data governance, and standardization.

  • Work closely with HR Shared Services and HR Digital teams to improve data quality, structure, and accessibility.

  • Support effective delivery of COE projects, programs and initiatives leveraging technical & digital skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Masters degree in HR, Business Analytics, Data Science, or related field.

  • 8+ years of proven experience in a talent analytics, people analytics, or HR data role—ideally within a global or matrixed organization.

  • Strong proficiency in Workday reporting and data extraction.

  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills.

  • Solid understanding of HR and talent processes, including succession planning, performance, and workforce planning.

  • Ability to work with large datasets and translate data into business-relevant insights.

  • Strong communication and storytelling skills—able to present data clearly to non-technical audiences.

Core Competencies:

  • Analytical Rigor: Strong ability to interpret complex data and extract meaningful, actionable insights.

  • Business Relevance: Focused on delivering insights that are practical, timely, and aligned with real-world talent decisions.

  • Collaboration: Works effectively across HR teams and with stakeholders to co-create solutions and ensure data meets their needs.
