Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role at our headquarters in Santa Clara, CA, for a Director of Human Resources. The role includes designing and implementing HR strategies, ensuring compliance with labor and employment laws, developing organizational policies, and fostering positive employee relations. Additionally, the Director of Human Resources will be instrumental in leading and managing recruitment, talent development, and workforce planning, while driving initiatives that support a culture of innovation and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and scale HR programs and processes across multiple locations while partnering with leadership on future HR organizational needs.
  • Oversee technical and business hiring, including specialized engineering talent, manufacturing roles, and regional operational teams.
  • Protect and scale the company’s startup culture, ensuring collaboration, transparency, and innovation remain core values.
  • Partner with executive leadership and external advisors to administer and refine compensation and equity programs.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and partner with legal counsel on international workforce matters.
  • Lead implementation and optimization of HRIS and workforce analytics tools.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or related field.
  • Expertise in Labor and Employment Law, with the ability to ensure organizational compliance.
  • Experience implementing HR systems and scalable people processes.
  • Experience supporting engineering and technical organizations.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities with a focus on organizational growth.
  • Proficiency in creating and implementing HR Policies and processes.
  • Experience advising managers on employee relations and organizational effectiveness.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Human Resources (HR) practices and experiences in HR Management.
  • 10+ years of HR leadership experience, including global or multi‑country responsibility.
  • Experience working in a startup or high‑growth environment and building HR functions from scratch.
  • Proven ability to manage HR operations, hiring, and people programs across multiple locations.
  • Deep understanding of global employment regulations, cultural differences, and international workforce dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, intercultural leadership, and strategic planning skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • SHRM‑SCP, SPHR, GPHR, CIPD, or similar certifications.
  • Prior involvement with immigration and global mobility programs.
  • Experience in global hardware, deep‑tech, semiconductor, or manufacturing organizations.
  • Prior experience scaling the number of employees quickly.
  • Experience supporting venture-backed startup growth.
  • Expertise in international compensation, equity design, and workforce analytics.
