About the Role:

The Engineering Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of manufacturing equipment and facilities within the Durable Goods Manufacturing industry. This position is responsible for performing parts inventory and management with computer skills utilizing CMMS, routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on various mechanical systems to minimize downtime and enhance productivity. The technician will also be involved in preventive maintenance programs, ensuring that all equipment is functioning optimally and safely. Additionally, the role requires effective communication with team members and management to report issues and suggest improvements. Ultimately, the Engineering Technician contributes significantly to maintaining a safe and efficient working environment, which is essential for meeting production goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in parts inventory and management, CMMS familiarity, maintenance roles, particularly in plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing systems.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in maintenance.

Responsibilities:

  • Use of CMMS to perform parts inventory, work order management for repair and Preventative Maintenance.
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform repairs on plumbing, electrical systems, and mechanical components as needed.
  • Utilize precision measuring tools to assess equipment functionality and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other team members to execute preventive maintenance schedules and address any urgent and non urgent repair needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Skills:

The required skills of plumbing, electrical wiring, and mechanical repair are essential for the daily tasks of the Engineering Technician, allowing them to address a variety of issues that may arise in the manufacturing setting.
