Job Summary:

The Process Engineer is responsible for production line design, line layout, process flow definition, and line balancing for AI server and rack integration (L10/L11) assembly and test operations, supporting the product lifecycle from New Product Introduction (NPI) through production ramp and Mass Production (MP). This role designs workstations and line configurations, establishes standard times and takt targets, optimizes cycle time and flow, and partners with manufacturing, test, quality, and industrial engineering teams to ensure production lines are efficient, safe, and ready for volume ramp.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design production line layouts, station configurations, and workstations (ergonomics, fixtures, tooling, and point-of-use material presentation) for AI server and rack integration (L10/L11) assembly and test.
  • Define process flows and station sequences, and perform line balancing to meet UPH, takt time, and cycle time targets.
  • Establish standard times through time studies and work measurement (e.g., MODAPTS), and apply lean methods to optimize cycle time, WIP, and bottlenecks.
  • Support NPI builds and ramp transitions — including line setup, station readiness, process validation, line rearrangements, and automation/MES digitalization opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation (flow charts, SOPs, work instructions, layout drawings), analyze line performance, ensure ESD/safety/ergonomics compliance, and collaborate with manufacturing, test, quality, materials, and industrial engineering teams; perform other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related technical, engineering or physics field required.
  • Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt), or related certification preferred.

Experience:

  • 4-7 years of process, manufacturing, or industrial engineering experience in electronics manufacturing, with hands-on expertise in production line design, line balancing, station design, and process flow development.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD required and experience with work measurement methods (time study, MODAPTS) and lean manufacturing tools; familiarity with MES systems, server/rack integration (L10/L11) or high-performance computing assembly and test, NPI-to-MP transitions, and ODM/OEM manufacturing models preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
