San Jose Bartender

JOB SUMMARY

The right candidate will be passionate about food, drinks, and service and thoroughly enjoy creating excellent experiences for our customers. The ideal bartender will have a friendly, outgoing disposition and previous experience working as a Bartender in a fast-paced restaurant setting.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet customers
• Verify identification and age requirements of customers
• Prepare and serve alcoholic beverages
• Mix traditional and creative cocktails
• Process payment from customers
• Salesmanship and making suggestions based on customer tastes and preferences
• Build a rapport with customers to create a positive atmosphere
• Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude
• Patience and customer-oriented approach
• Attention to cleanliness and safety
• Sanitize chairs and bar
• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High School/GED or higher education preferred
• Bartender experience needed
• Basic knowledge of a wide variety of alcohol preferred
• Strong customer service operations skills preferred
• Superior skills in interaction with customers preferred

• The employee is frequently required to stand; as well as occasionally required to climb or balance; and stoop or kneel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Proper lifting, pushing, and pulling techniques are required.
