Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Emergency Response Patrol in Santa Clara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic technology location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors while responding professionally to site needs. Pay Rate: $29.30 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology-focused location while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, common areas, parking facilities, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, helping to support authorized access to facilities and restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications while supporting a professional environment for personnel and guests.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Possess a guard card or license preferred.
• Possess CPR and/or First Aid certification preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
