Job Overview:

Follows Knowles travelers, work instructions, and procedures to apply termination to capacitors. Ensures quality standards are met while operating equipment and accurately recording production data in company systems.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Read travelers and Knowles procedures to select the proper termination for required parts.
  • Program the Chip Star machine with the appropriate dimensions and termination type.
  • Place racks of parts into the hand termination process and follow approved procedures to apply termination.
  • Remove plates with pieces and dry them in the oven according to established processes.
  • Inspect work to ensure compliance with quality and production requirements.
  • Accurately enter production, quality, and process information into company computer systems and manufacturing databases.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications & Skills:

 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.

 

  • Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions, travelers, lot paperwork, and company procedures. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
  • Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to learn and understand moderately complex manufacturing processes, mechanical assemblies, and basic equipment maintenance tasks.
  • Basic computer skills, including the ability to accurately enter, retrieve, and maintain information in company systems.
  • Strong attention to detail, commitment to quality standards, and ability to work effectively in a production environment.
  • Must maintain regular and reliable attendance, adhere to established work schedules, and comply with company timekeeping and attendance policies.
  • Must be flexible and willing to be cross-trained in other departments, processes, and job functions as required to support business and operational needs.
  • Must be able and willing to work overtime as needed to meet production schedules and business requirements.

Physical Requirements:

  • The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, communicate, and hear; use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
  • The position may require occasional bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, climbing, reaching, and upper body movement.
  • The employee may be required to frequently lift and carry lightweight materials and occasionally lift and move items weighing up to 25 pounds.
