Job Summary:Ā
Cosasco is looking for aĀ Supply ChainĀ Manager toĀ developĀ and implement a supply chain strategy that maximizesĀ customer satisfactionĀ throughĀ on timeĀ delivery, lead time and quality metrics,Ā reducesĀ inventory, and delivers the lowest total landed cost.Ā Ā You will lead and manage purchasing and planning functions, research product availability, delivery dates and pricing, coordinate the prioritization of supplier demand,Ā andĀ communicate production delays as needed. Analyze our current buying and planning processes and create the best methods for day-to-day operations.Ā Ā Interact with various internal departments to supportĀ timelyĀ customer order shipments and withĀ externalĀ suppliersĀ for inventory and cost controls.Ā

Establish and implementĀ planning and purchasing policies, procedures, and best practices.
Monitor ongoing compliance withĀ planning andĀ purchasingĀ policies andĀ procedures.Ā
Monitor and reduce purchase variances to meet profitĀ objectives.Ā
Oversee the operations and daily activities of the purchasingĀ and planningĀ department.Ā
Produce regular reports on purchase commitments, costs, and deliveryĀ performance.Ā
Manage, develop, and motivateĀ team.Ā
Direct continuous improvement of processes in line with changing organizational needs and marketĀ conditions.Ā
Develop,Ā monitorĀ and manageĀ KPIās for suppliersĀ in alignment with QDC targetsāĀ Supplier Defect Rate,Ā OTD, Cost Savings, Cost of Inventory / Stock Turns.
Develop,Ā monitorĀ and manageĀ KPIs for teamĀ in alignment with QDC targetsĀ ā Jobs released on time, Purchases placed on time,Ā Number ofĀ UnconfirmedĀ purchase orders, Purchase Price VarianceĀ
Support development of contract manufacturing partners in Americas

PrincipleĀ Responsibilities:Ā
Oversees and coordinates with suppliers and other departments to ensure and verify product specifications, availability,Ā pricing,Ā and delivery dates.Ā
Direct procurement policies to ensure all items areĀ purchasedĀ and delivered within budget and time constraints.Ā
Develop and manage a cost-out funnelĀ from ideation to execution to achieveĀ lowestĀ total cost of ownership.Ā
Develop, negotiate, and administerĀ purchasingĀ agreements and contracts with suppliers in support of organizational requirements. NegotiateĀ advantageousĀ terms.Ā Ā
Drive increasing inventory turns, reduced cycles, and improved customer OTD by developing,Ā implementing,Ā and managing pull-based replenishment processes including but not limited to Kanban, VMI, and Supplier Consigned inventory.Ā
Maintain awarenessĀ of world markets and emerging material orĀ logisticsĀ related issues in the industry and positionĀ the supply chain to flexibly respond accordingly.Ā
Continually assesses risk of supply chain and identifiesĀ & implementsĀ approaches to reduce risk.Ā
Manage supplier selectionĀ processĀ based on price, quality, support,Ā capacity,Ā andĀ reliability.Ā
SupportĀ supplierĀ qualification and approval processĀ
Provide effective support to new product introduction teams, proposal development, and subcontracting opportunities as they develop.Ā
Develop andĀ maintainĀ strategic relationships with key suppliers.Ā
Establish and update an approved supplierĀ database.Ā
Participate in the development of specifications for equipment, products, or substituteĀ materials.Ā
FullyĀ utilizeĀ Epicor MRP system to plan purchases and trackĀ performance.Ā
Introduce performance improvement measures for suppliers.Ā
Review purchase orders for proper authorization and compliance with organizational policy and procedures.Ā

Education and Experience:Ā
College degree in business, materials management, supply chain or related field
5+ yearsā experience in purchasing andĀ planning in an industrial manufacturing environmentĀ
2+ yearsā supervisory experienceĀ
Working knowledge of all laws and regulations relating to procurement and contractsĀ
Knowledge of purchasing and supply chain systems, LEAN principles of planning and MRP/ERP systemsĀ Ā
Knowledge of project specific execution will be an added advantageĀ Ā

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computerĀ
Flexible schedule, including some weekend hoursĀ
Must be able toĀ liftĀ upĀ to 15 pounds at timesĀ
