The Staff Pad has partnered with a hospital in Las Vegas, New Mexico to hire a Health Information Management (HIM) Technician. This role is responsible for maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and security of patient medical records while supporting daily health information operations.

Fully Onsite in Las Vegas, NM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize, file, and maintain patient medical records in compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards

  • Retrieve and distribute medical records to authorized personnel in a timely manner

  • Review records for completeness and accuracy using established quality control procedures

  • Scan, index, and upload documents into electronic health record (EHR) systems

  • Respond to medical record requests in compliance with HIPAA and legal requirements

  • Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and route requests appropriately

  • Stay current on HIM regulations, policies, and best practices

Qualifications:

  • Experience in health information management or medical records preferred

  • Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple requests and prioritize effectively

  • Comfortable working with EHR systems and basic office technology
