Summary of Position
The Personal Tainer will provide professional, knowledgeable, and safe instruction to each client. Â The Personal Trainer is responsible for continuous high-quality customer service and member engagement, which includes, but is not limited to, meeting member/guest needs, Â presenting a positive attitude toward Quail Run Association, team members and programs. Â Will be assigned administrative duties, organizational tasks, and must be a team player.Â
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
- Passion for fitness by helping clients reach their goals with that ability to motiviate and inspire. Â
- Assess clients’ fitness levels and health conditions
- Build individualized exercise programs that meets the clients specific  needs
- Explain and show exercises in detail and suggest alternatives if needed
- Monitor progress of clients’ fitness levelsÂ
- Explain safe and proper use of gym equipment
- Lead both individual and group training sessions
- Research and educate clients on current health and fitness issues and trends. Â
- Maintain certications by continuing education
- Self-starter and promotion of yourself.Â
- Perform CPR and administer first aid in case of emergencies
- Inform clients about  gym safety and hygiene guidelines
- Build a positive and trusting relationship with customers and co-workers
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Knowledge of various fitness programs, from basic exercises to more challenging training sessions
- Ability to design exercise programs tailored to the needs of specific clients/goals
- Available to work flexible hours, weekends and holidays.Â
- Excellent communication skills
- A solid work ethic and reliable

Miscellaneous
Work days: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays or Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays
Work hours: range between 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Requirements
- Degree in Exercise Science
- Previous experience as a personal trainer, senior fitness/rehabilitation or relevant role
- Certification: NASM, ACE, ACSM, CSCS, NFPT, ISSA, NCCPT, IFPA, or AFFA in personal training
- American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED certification
