Work Schedule:Ā Ā Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm.

Benefits:Ā Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Casual, PRN & Part Time employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours are eligible toĀ participateĀ in the 401(k) Plan only. Job ResponsibilitiesĀ 

  • Supervise theĀ day to dayĀ operations of theĀ Quality ControlĀ departmentĀ Ā 

  • Ensure laboratory tests are accuratelyĀ performedĀ and results are reportedĀ in a timely mannerĀ 

  • Directly supervise, train, and mentor laboratory personnel of the departmentĀ Ā 

  • Monitor daily workflow in the lab and schedule adequate assay coverageĀ 

  • Responsible for ensuring all shifts in the department are properly staffedĀ 

  • Research and resolve any production errors while escalating when necessaryĀ 

  • Engage in continuous process and service level improvementsĀ Ā 

  • Ensure all equipment is being properlyĀ maintainedĀ through Quality ControlĀ 

  • Prepare andĀ maintainĀ Quality Assurance records and documentsĀ 

  • Evaluate new process improvements and makeĀ appropriate recommendationsĀ 

  • Meet regularly with direct reports to provide coaching and feedback for their developmentĀ Ā 

  • Perform bench work as needed andĀ maintainĀ proficiency/competency in technical operationsĀ 

  • Ensure all work isĀ in accordance withĀ state and Federal regulationsĀ 

  • Responsible for administering and managing policies and proceduresĀ 

  • Process andĀ maintainĀ payroll and personnel filesĀ 

  • Perform administrative duties as neededĀ

Ā RequirementsĀ 

  • Associates in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or meet local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements – Bachelor’sĀ degree is a plusĀ Ā 

  • MinimumĀ 4Ā years of experience as aĀ Technologist/TechnicianĀ Ā 

  • PreviousĀ supervisor/leadership experience is highly preferredĀ 

  • ASCP or AMT certification is preferredĀ Ā 

  • Strong working knowledge of CLIA, CAP and relevant state regulationsĀ 

  • Understanding of laboratory operations as well as policies and proceduresĀ 

  • Proficient with Laboratory Information Systems and Microsoft OfficeĀ 

  • Strong communicationĀ skills; both written and verbalĀ 

  • High levelĀ of attention to detail with strong organizational skillsĀ Ā 

  • Comfortability making decisions in a changing environmentĀ 

  • Ability to handle the physical requirements of the positionĀ
