JAKKS Pacific, Inc., a leading designer and marketer of toys and consumer products, with a wide range of products that feature some of the most popular brands and children's toy licenses in the world, currently seeks an experienced, energetic, self-starter for the role of Associate Brand Manager, Dolls and Preschool for their Santa Monica office. The ABM is responsible for assisting the Brand Manager and Director in addition to working closely with cross functional teams on global product development for both internal IP and external licensed brands.

The Division:

Dolls & Preschool at Jakks encompasses a mix of owned IP and licensed brands, targeting a wide range of consumers from the youngest kids to adult collectors. 

The Role:

As an Associate Brand Manager, the day-to-day responsibilities range from supporting management on key division objectives, to working closely with design and development cross-functional partners on multiple seasons of product at once. Brand marketing is responsible for product strategy, line planning, and is the connective tissue between our product development partners and the global markets. This team is responsible for both driving the current business and developing the future plans to grow the portfolio.


Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Day to day product development responsibilities:
  • identifying white space for new product & partner opportunities including monitoring trends in market and on all social platforms
  • preparation and development of line development strategies for product lines
  • competitive research and routine store checks
  • product communication for packaging, presentations, and web
  • preparing PowerPoint presentations for internal sales purposes, retail meetings and partner meetings
  • compiling and analyzing sales data
  • organization and agendas for weekly team meetings and key development milestone meetings
  • sample coordination
  • ensuring products are on strategy, on time and on cost
  • working with operations team to ensure product details are set up properly, accurate, and meet retailer requirements
  • assisting with licensor approvals
  • Day to day brand and marketing responsibilities:
    • Developing integrated marketing strategy for go-to-market
    • Providing advertising/promotional recommendations
    • Working closely with partners on launch plans to drive product at retail
    • Aligning global markets on marketing vision and sell-in strategy
    • Thinking outside the box on how to market differently- from influencer to social to retail marketing plans

  • Compensation: JAKKS Pacific offers a competitive salary. Compensation for this role commensurate with experience, qualifications, location, and education and typically ranges from $72,000-$83,000.
