Position OverviewÂ
The Quality Manager is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining Westside Build’s quality control systems across all active projects. This role ensures every home meets our architectural intent, performance standards, and client expectations — from foundation through final walk. You will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, trade partners, and the Design team to drive first-pass inspections, reduce rework, and uphold best-in-class craftsmanship.Â

Key ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Develop and implement project-specific Quality Control (QC) plans and inspection protocolsÂ
- Conduct routine site inspections to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and building codesÂ
- Partner with Project Managers and Superintendents to proactively identify and resolve quality risksÂ
- Establish standardized checklists and milestone-based quality auditsÂ
- Track and report quality metrics, rework trends, and root-cause analysisÂ
- Coordinate third-party inspections and ensure timely correction of deficienciesÂ
- Ensure trade partners adhere to workmanship standards and scope requirementsÂ
- Lead pre-drywall, pre-finish, and final completion quality reviewsÂ
- Develop, implement, and administer the QC Plan following the USACE three phases of control. Â
- Ensure all project personnel and subcontractors understand and comply with the QC requirements. Â
- Certify that all submittals are in compliance with contract requirements. Â
- Review plans and specifications to ensure requirements are met for each construction process. Â
- Complete necessary inspection reports and documentation. Â
- Inspect and evaluate the adequacy of work performed by craft, staff, and subcontractors; Identify nonconformities, analyze root causes, and take corrective measures. Â
- Review daily paperwork such as reports, log updates, and email. Â
- Understand and apply federal, state, and local policies, laws, and regulations. Â
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships.  Â
- Manage and monitor required testing. Â
- Conduct pre-final/final inspections; review establish punch list; and, ensure all deficiencies are corrected. Â
- Conduct and attend QC meetings. Â
- Maintain and submit as-builts on finished projects.  Â
- Prepare documentation for each definable feature of work in their area of responsibility; Distribute written inspection/test results to appropriate personnel/agencies. Â
- Ability to organize tasks and work efficiently without direct supervision.  Â
- Other duties as assigned.Â

QualificationsÂ
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction quality control, project management, or field supervisionÂ
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related fieldÂ
- Strong knowledge of custom residential construction methods and materials is a mustÂ
- Ability to read and interpret full sets of architectural, structural, and MEP drawingsÂ
- Deep understanding of California building codes and inspection processesÂ
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation and reporting skillsÂ
- Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination abilitiesÂ

Preferred ExperienceÂ
- Experience in high-end or design-forward residential projectsÂ
- Familiarity with prefabrication or offsite construction methodologiesÂ
- OSHA certificationÂ
- Experience implementing quality management systems or SOP frameworksÂ

Software & ToolsÂ
Must have a proficient experience with Procore, Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft Excel, PlanGrid (or similar field management tools) and BIM coordination tools (Revit/Navisworks familiarity a plus)Â
