Your MissionĀ 

The Strategy group at Activision is a lean, high-caliber team driving key business decisions across the entire organization. We work directly with our CFO and COO to ensure our business is identifying opportunities and delivering againstĀ topĀ strategic priorities for Activision Publishing, Call of Duty, and other core franchises such as Crash, Spyro, and Tony Hawk. Our team develops exceptional talent, with members regularly graduating to leadership positions.Ā 

As a Senior Analyst, you will be a critical and visible part of the team leading Strategy for Activision. You will partner with execs and VPs across Activision and studios toĀ sizeĀ newĀ conceptĀ opportunities,Ā evaluate market opportunities,Ā optimizeĀ our portfolioĀ &Ā monetization strategy,Ā recommendĀ pricingĀ changes,Ā evaluateĀ partnership /Ā jointĀ ventureĀ / M&AĀ opportunities,Ā and more.Ā Ā 

Sample projects include:Ā Ā 

  • SizeĀ new gameĀ opportunities:Ā building market sizing models,Ā size financial opportunity, and developing investment recommendations for new titles, sequels, or franchise extensions.Ā 

  • Evaluate market and growth opportunities:Ā assessing new platforms, regions (e.g., Asia, mobile), and business models to identify where Activision should expand next.Ā 

  • Shape portfolio and monetization strategy:Ā analyzing franchise potential and identifying opportunities to enhance player engagement and long-term valueĀ 

  • Evaluate partnership and strategic opportunities:Ā assessing potential partnerships, licensing arrangements, and other strategic options that could expand Activision's reach or capabilities.Ā 

KeyĀ ResponsibilitiesĀ Ā 

  • Drive organization-wide strategy projects:Ā tackling leadership's top priorities, often spanning multiple franchises, studios, and functions.Ā 

  • Conduct rigorous quantitative and qualitative analyses:Ā synthesizing large volumes of information quickly to solve complex, ambiguous business problems under tight timelines.Ā 

  • Build consensus and influence decision-making:Ā partnering across cross-functional teams (finance, product, marketing, studios) and presenting recommendations directly to executive and VP audiences.Ā 

  • Develop deep expertise in the gaming industry and our franchises:Ā understanding how they operate, the markets they compete in, and where the next big opportunity might come from.Ā 

Player ProfileĀ 

  • 2+ years of experience plus 4-year college degree in management consulting, private equity, or corporate development/strategy at a leading TMT companyĀ 

  • Exceptional quantitative skills and financial acumenĀ 

  • Persuasive communication skills, both written and verbal; comfortable interfacing with C-suite on dayĀ oneĀ 

  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiencyĀ 

  • Self-starter and comfortable with ambiguity; must be self-directed and proactiveĀ 

  • Interest and passion for interactive entertainment and technology with the ability to learn complex industry topics and processes quicklyĀ

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $94,580.00 - $174,988.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
