Senior Child Development Teacher at Providence Saint John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, CA. This position is FT and will work 8-hour, Day shifts.

The Teacher works as a team member to provide a safe and secure environment to enhance a child's social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development as part of our National Accredited for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) Early Childhood Development Center. The Teacher is responsible for co-teaching with other educators in the center, organizing and planning a developmentally appropriate curriculum based on center's philosophy and NAEYC accreditation guidelines.Â

Required Qualifications:
- Coursework/Training and 24 Semester units of Early Childhood Education including all CORE classes plus Infant and Toddler Development and Program.
- Child Development
- Principles and Practices in Early Childhood Education
- Introduction to Curriculum
- The Child, Family and Community
- 3 units of Infant/Toddler Development
- Supervised field experience
- Coursework/Training and Current California Commission on Teaching Credentialing - Teacher Permit
- Coursework/Training and CA AB1207 Child Care Provider Child Abuse Mandated Reporter Training
- Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of college level training in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Master's Degree   Â
- Upon hire: Background Check Clearance by the CA Department of Social Services is required for this position (CPMB) Care Provider Management Bureau. (DOJ) Department of Justice and Child Abuse Central IndexÂ
- Upon hire: No convictions related to child abuse, offenses against persons, sexual offenses, child neglect, felony offenses involving controlled substances, or any other offenses bearing substantial relation to the qualifications, functions of duties of an employee of a child care facilityÂ
- 2 years of working with preschool aged-children.
- 6 months of Supervised Field Experience in Early Childhood Setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 6 months of working with Infants & Toddlers.
