Client Service Representative

VCA PetCare West is looking to expand its team with a new Client Service Representative! 

Location: 1370 Fulton Road, Santa Rosa Ca 95401 

Schedule : Full-Time, Part-Time 

Compensation: $ 19 - 22/hr depending on experience and skill sets 

VCA PetCare West is a multi-doctor practice proudly serving Santa Rosa, CA. We are dedicated to exceptional patient care, client education, and a collaborative, service-driven environment. We’re seeking a like-minded individual who values teamwork, communication, and exceptional client service. 

THE POSITION: 

Duties include, but not limited to: 

• Customer service functions, including: greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms 

• Scheduling and confirming appointments 

• Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients 

• Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments 

• Creating and presenting treatment plans based on the doctor's recommendations. 

• Answering questions regarding services and cost 

• Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• At least one year of proven past experience helping clients in an animal hospital setting 

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent 

• Excellent listening and communication skills 

• Compassion for pets and people—as well as awareness and understanding of others’ reactions 

• Proven decision-making skills to choose the most appropriate course of action 

• The ability to integrate new information into problem-solving 

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 

• Willingness to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends and holidays 

• The ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and be exposed to hazards associated with pets such as allergies, contagious diseases, noises, odors, bites, scratches, and animal waste

• Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience and other relevant credentials. The pay range for this position is $18 to $21 per hour.
