Required Certification

Applicants must already possess a current Lifeguard Certification to be considered.

What You'll Do

• Maintain active surveillance of the pool and surrounding areas
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies
• Enforce safety rules and YMCA policies
• Build positive relationships with members and guests
• Perform pool safety checks and facility inspections
• Assist with maintaining a clean and safe aquatic environment
• Work collaboratively with the aquatics team

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years old by date of hire
• Required Certifications: American Red Cross or YMCA Lifeguard Certificate, American Red Cross First Aid for the Public Safety Personnel (Title 22), and American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer Certificate.
• Ability to meet all YMCA and Red Cross lifeguarding standards
• Ability to maintain certification-level physical readiness
• DOJ and FBI fingerprint clearance required
