Job DetailsJob Location: RCRC - Santa Rosa - Santa Rosa, CA 95405Salary Range: $48.00 - $62.40 SalaryPOSITION OVERVIEW Under general oversight and direction, the Program Director is responsible for overall performance of RCRC including meeting agreed upon management, financial, and business development goals. Provides operational oversight including standards of performance and activities ensuring compliance with California Department of Aging (CDA) contracts and licensing regulations. Directs strategic planning and business development efforts. Manages the activities and daily operations of the Redwood Caregiver Resource Center (RCRC) including developing, monitoring, and balancing the RCRC budget, and developing and implementing the RCRC work plan within the context of the statewide CRC system strategic plan. Serves as representative to the professional and business community as well as the broad fields of health care, aging and social services. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee all operations of the CRC which results in direct assistance to family and professional caregivers. Develop and implement the RCRC strategic plan and carry out daily management of all aspects of the program and staff. Supervise administrative and professional staff. Independently maintain effective working relationships with the California Department of Aging, the four Area Agencies on Aging in RCRC’s seven-county service region and the statewide system of California Caregiver Resource Centers. Represent RCRC as a board member on the statewide Association of California Caregiver Resource Centers Board of Directors. Set annual goals and objectives for the entire program and provide the oversight to meet them. Is responsible for developing and enforcing quality standards for all CRC services. Establish, negotiate and administer subcontracts and memorandums of understanding with all RCRC client service providers including but not limited to adult day care programs, in-home domestic and nursing services, out-of-home placement facilities, attorneys and psychotherapeutic counseling services to ensure contractual obligations, CRC service standards and policies and fiscal limitations are met. Develop and maintain all policies and procedures for operations. Program planning, grant writing, and evaluation. Establish effective working relationships with local and regional elected and appointed public officials. Represent the needs of family caregivers in Sonoma, Napa, Solano, Lake, Mendocino, Humboldt and Del Norte Counties for the development of needed programs, to increase public awareness of such needs and to increase awareness of RCRC and NCO. Develop new programs based on relevant trends in the needs of core agency constituencies collaborating with strategic partners. Work with key nonprofit constituencies and potential allies in the private sector, government, community agencies, and academic institutions. Work with leadership and Board of Directors of NCO to further the goals outlined in the agency strategic plan. Other duties as assigned or required. QualificationsJOB QUALIFICATIONS Education, Training and Experience: Master’s degree in social work, Gerontology, Public Health or related field. Clinical license preferred. Three years’ experience in management within a non-profit private or public sector, social services program. Experience working with older adults, caregiver support or dementia care. Knowledge of: Programmatic oversight to staff and student interns. Deep understanding of the bio-psycho-social issues facing family caregivers, neurocognitive disorders, and state and federal regulations for aging and caregiver services. Demonstrated accomplishments related to the position Ability to: Prepare, implement, and manage the Redwood CRC budget. Document needs and services provided and extract and summarize data for reporting purposes. Have sound clinical judgment. Necessary Special Skills & Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age. Demonstrated skills in education, group presentation, public speaking, and leadership. For work-related driving, must have a valid California driver’s license, a verifiable good driving record, and access to a vehicle with insurance that covers the employee as a driver OR reliable transportation with proof of automobile insurance. WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, listen, and communicate clearly; The employee frequently is required to sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, use manual and automatic office equipment, and reach with hands and arms. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds unassisted and may occasionally move and lift heavier materials with assistance using ergonomic guidelines. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The ability to travel during the day and/or night, sometimes long distance – possession of a valid California Driver’s License and access to an insured vehicle is required. Interaction and contact with outside agencies, vendors, funders, volunteers, donors, and contributors is a frequent aspect of this job. The employee will regularly use computers and computer printers, telephones, and other similar electronic office equipment.
