Job DetailsLevel: ExperiencedJob Location: Orenda - Santa Rosa, CA 95405Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: High SchoolSalary Range: $29.00 - $30.00 HourlyJob Category: Health CareWork with great people doing great things! Join Buckelew Programs and play a pivotal role in making a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals facing mental health and substance use challenges in the North Bay.  As the Shift Lead, you will oversee the assigned shift at the Orenda Center program, providing guidance, consultation, and leadership to staff and volunteers. In this role, you will play a key leadership role by coordinating client care, supporting and mentoring staff, overseeing daily program operations, responding to complex client situations alongside counselors and treatment support staff, monitoring medication administration, and ensuring services are delivered in compliance with Buckelew Programs' policies, standards, and all applicable regulations. You will maintain confidentiality, adhere to ethical standards, and ensure the highest quality of care for clients. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following represents key responsibilities for this role. Administrative Complete shift documentation, including End of Shift Reports and follow-up requests. Report concerns regarding staff performance or operational issues to supervisors and leadership. Staff Management Orient, train, and oversee staff and volunteers on assigned shifts. Provide guidance and leadership during shift, ensuring appropriate interventions, case management, training, and oversight of program operations. Offer debriefing and feedback (both positive and constructive) to staff at the end of each shift.  Ensure adherence to program structure and schedule and provide support with client interactions. Program Quality & Compliance Ensure services meet quality standards, adhere to documentation requirements, and use evidence-based practices. Maintain compliance with legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements, including certifications (e.g., CARF, and DHCS). Ensure that shift summaries, TCM and other EHR documentation requirements are met during the shift. Supervise medication management to ensure compliance. Clinical Duties Support staff in providing psycho-social rehabilitation groups and crisis counseling during shift. Monitor client mental and physical health concerns and escalate as needed. Provide direct crisis intervention and management when required. Business Development Foster positive relationships with community partners and contribute to agency fundraising efforts. Identify and connect clients to community resources that support program goals and enhance client well-being. QualificationsEducation & Experience High School Diploma required. 2+ years of experience in SUD field Registered or Certified as AOD counselor with accredited entity. Skills & Abilities Fluency in English required; bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred. Strong crisis management skills, ability to work independently, and demonstrate sound judgment. Ability to maintain professional boundaries, handle multiple tasks, and work in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) at an intermediate level. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Team-oriented with a positive, collaborative attitude. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Primarily office-based; requires sitting, typing, and using fine motor skills. Frequent use of computers and phones; ability to hear and communicate effectively. Frequent standing, walking, and reaching. Visual acuity to read information electronically or in print.
