Speech Language Pathologist in Speech Pathology Unit at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, CA. This position is Per diem and will work 8-hour Day Shifts.

The practice of speech-language pathology shall include assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, education, communication, and demonstration of techniques addressing speech language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders to meet the needs of patients and their families with supervisory guidance provided as needed. Therapists completing a Clinical Fellowship year will receive supervision in accordance with rules delineated by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.   
  • Completion of, or eligibility for, Clinical Fellowship Year.   
  • Coursework/Training: Speech-Language Pathology Area of Specialization - Completion of competencies for: 
    • Therapeutic feedings,
    • Patient transfers, and
    • Assistance with Modified Barium Swallow studies.
  • Upon hire: California Speech Language Pathologist License
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training: Educated or trained in dysphagia assessment and management.   
  • 1 year Acute care or inpatient rehabilitation experience.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position.  The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
