Description

This role is all about keeping our equipment running safely and correctly. As an Instrument and Electrical Technician, you’ll be hands-on with the wiring, installation, and setup of electrical and control systems that make our equipment work. You’ll take engineering drawings and turn them into clean, dependable electrical assemblies—properly routed, wired, grounded, shielded, and terminated—using approved parts, tools, and procedures.


Your work will follow industry codes, safety standards, and GasTech quality requirements, while staying on schedule with our production plan. Attention to detail, craftsmanship, and pride in doing the job right the first time are key.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Excellent electrical and controls automation proficiency in process piping and pressure equipment manufacturing is required.
  • Passing a qualified electrical test and class-appropriate level of experience is required. 
  • Higher vocational electrical/controls background is preferable.
  • Experience with NEC and UL/CSA Codes is preferred.
  • Experience in an ISO 9001 environment is preferred.
  • A working knowledge of electrical parts supply, nomenclature and controls component functions, including PLCs, relays, motors starters, VFDs, valve actuators, communication programs and interfaces, is required.
  • The ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality is required.
  • The ability to remain organized with a keen attention to detail in a fast-paced environment is required. 
  • The ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines utilizing excellent time management skills is required.
  • Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal and conflict resolution skills are required.
