Position Summary
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, maintenance, and repair of all Lightshare facilities, ensuring a safe, functional, and compliant environment for staff and clients. This role supervises maintenance staff, manages preventative maintenance programs, coordinates vendors, and ensures all properties meet regulatory, safety, and operational standards.
The ideal candidate brings a minimum of five (5) years of maintenance experience, including supervisory responsibility, and demonstrates strong leadership, problem-solving, and compliance knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
Facility Operations & Maintenance
Oversee maintenance and repair of all buildings, grounds, and equipment across Lightshare programs (Residential, Outpatient, DOC, Restore, M&I, etc.)
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules
- Ensure timely resolution of maintenance requests and work orders
- Conduct routine inspections to identify and address facility needs
- Maintain functionality of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and safety systems
Supervision & Team Leadership
- Supervise and train maintenance staff and contractors
- Assign daily tasks and monitor performance
- Ensure staff adherence to safety protocols and company standards
- Support staffing schedules and on-call coverage as needed
Vendor & Project Management
- Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and service providers
- Obtain quotes and manage cost-effective repairs and projects
- Oversee facility improvement projects, renovations, and emergency repairs
- Ensure vendor compliance with contracts, insurance, and safety standards
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure all facilities meet state, local, CARF, and safety regulations
- Maintain documentation for inspections, repairs, and compliance audits
- Oversee fire safety systems, emergency preparedness, and OSHA compliance
- Address safety hazards immediately and implement corrective actions
Inventory & Budget Oversight
- Track and manage maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment
- Maintain inventory levels and control costs
- Assist in budget planning and expense monitoring
- Approve purchases within authority limits
Work Order & Reporting Systems
- Maintain maintenance logs and work order tracking systems
- Provide regular reports on facility status, repairs, and needs
- Ensure timely communication with leadership regarding major issues
