About the Role:

The Shipping & Receiving position is critical to ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods into and out of our operation. This role involves managing the receipt, inspection, and proper storage of incoming shipments, as well as preparing, packing and organizing outgoing shipments of our long shaft trolling motors and components. The individual in this role will collaborate closely with inventory control, logistics, and supply chain teams to maintain accurate records and optimize shipping processes. Attention to detail and adherence to safety and compliance standards are essential to prevent loss, damage, or delays. Ultimately, this position supports the overall operational efficiency and customer satisfaction by ensuring timely and accurate handling of all shipping and receiving activities.  Operation of a forklift is required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with inventory management software SAP Business One.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects safely, typically up to 75 pounds.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment.
  • Knowledge of shipping regulations and documentation requirements.
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and external carriers.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime or weekends if needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Unload, sort, and properly store incoming materials and products in designated warehouse locations.
  • Prepare, package, and label outgoing shipments according to company standards and customer requirements.
  • Coordinate with carriers and freight companies to schedule pickups and deliveries, ensuring timely transportation of goods.
  • Maintain accurate records of all shipping and receiving transactions using inventory management systems.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and report discrepancies or damages to management.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all shipping and receiving operations.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
