Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Conduct monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and general ledger accounts
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
- Perform variance analysis to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Assist in the coordination of audits and provide necessary documentation to auditors
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency of financial operations
- Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and standards
- Perform other duties and ad-hoc projects as assigned by the Finance Manager
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience
- CPA a plus
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Experience in the private equity or retail industry is an advantage
