Visiting Faculty Position in Neuroscience
The Interdisciplinary Neuroscience Program at Skidmore College invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track Visiting Assistant Professor position in Neuroscience for the academic year beginning Fall 2026. This is a three-year, multi-year appointment with responsibilities in teaching.
Responsibilities:
- Teach Introductory Neuroscience with laboratory and intermediate- and upper-level courses in the candidate’s subspecialty that contribute to the current Neuroscience curriculum, in consultation with the Program Director
- Teach an average of nine contact hours per semester
- Contribute to the continued development of the Interdisciplinary Neuroscience ProgramÂ
Qualifications:
- A Ph.D. in Neuroscience or a closely related field by the time of appointment
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the college level
- Commitment to undergraduate education and to teaching a diverse student body
Salary: $68,989.Â

This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement between Skidmore College and Services Employees International Union (SEIU), Local 200United.
