Home Place Pastures is a 5th generation regenerative farm in Como, MS specializing in grass fed beef and pasture raised pork. We are seeking a key team member to supervise production in our USDA harvest and processing facility on our farm. This position will involve process and personnel management and will require organizational and leadership skills.Â

Hours:
-Â Â Â Â Monday through Friday 7:30am to 5pm(or until shift is complete)

Objectives

-Â Â Â Â Learn and follow establishment food safety plan
-Â Â Â Â HACCP plan
-Â Â Â Â Humane Handling Plan
-    SOP’s
-Â Â Â Â SSOP (sanitation standard operating procedures)
-Â Â Â Â Pre-operational and post operational logs, temperature logs, food safety records
Â
-Â Â Â Â Learn and become proficient in all skills within the production departments.
-Â Â Â Â Breaking, portioning, further processing, packaging, labeling, etc.
-Â Â Â Â Basic operation, sanitation, and maintenance for equipment including bandsaws, grinders, portioners, formers, and packaging machines

-Â Â Â Â Lotting system for harvest, production, and shipping
-Â Â Â Â Labeling and packaging, special label claims, and private label applications
-Â Â Â Â SKU specs and descriptions

Skills/ Experience
-Â Â Â Â At least 2 years of food/ meat industry experience required
-Â Â Â Â At least 2 years of supervisory/ management experience required
-Â Â Â Â HACCP and SQF experience preferred
-Â Â Â Â Organization and time management
-Â Â Â Â Personnel management
-Â Â Â Â Meticulous attention to detail
-Â Â Â Â Must be growth and improvement focused
-Â Â Â Â An interest in local food and regenerative meats is preferred

Considerations
-Â Â Â Â Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs
-Â Â Â Â Work on feet for a full shift
-Â Â Â Â Quickly retain the knowledge of responsibilities, procedures and spec sheets
-Â Â Â Â Working in refrigerated coolers averaging 32 degrees
