Country Manor Health Care and Rehab Center is looking for an energetic, compassionate, and creative Life Enrichment Programmer to join our team! In this rewarding role, you will create meaningful experiences that bring joy, connection, and purpose to our residents/patients each day.


The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, patient, organized, and passionate about enhancing the quality of life for seniors through creativity, companionship, and fun. If you enjoy making memories and celebrating every day, we’d love to have you join our team!


We are hiring for 2 positions: (please indicate what schedule you are applying for on your application)

Schedule #1 - Monday, Tuesday & Thursday 6:00-8:30pm, Every Other Saturday 1:30-5:30pm, Every Other Sunday 8:30am-noon and 1:00-5:00pm and Holiday Rotation (3 holidays/year)

Schedule #2 - Every other Saturday (1:30-5:30pm) and Sunday (1:00-5:00pm)


Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Genuine interest in working with geriatric residents, individuals with physical challenges, and those with psychological or cognitive impairments.
  • Passion for enhancing residents’ quality of life by making each day more satisfying, meaningful, engaging, and purposeful.
  • Energetic, creative, and willing to contribute new ideas to activities and programming.
  • Knowledge and understanding of aging-related issues and the unique needs of seniors.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, visitors, and team members.
  • Demonstrates patience, compassion, professionalism, and tact when working with residents, families, and guests.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while fostering a warm and welcoming environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and lead engaging group and individual activities that meet residents’ interests, needs, and abilities.
  • Collaborate with the Activities Director to develop programs, care plan goals, and activity-related documentation, including MDS requirements.
  • Provide one-on-one visits and welcome new admissions by introducing activity opportunities and assessing immediate recreation needs.
  • Prepare activity spaces, post event information, and maintain clean, organized work areas.
  • Monitor residents during activities and outings, reporting any condition changes to nursing staff.
  • Document attendance, participation, and one-on-one interactions accurately and timely.
  • Assist with community outings, special events, and assigned evening, weekend, or holiday rotations.
  • Attend required meetings and follow all facility and departmental policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
