The Campus Float Technician is a versatile team member who provides support across the Maintenance, Environmental Services, and IT departments to help ensure the campus remains safe, clean, functional, and welcoming. This position assists with preventative maintenance, technology support, package and supply deliveries, snow removal, painting, light repairs, housekeeping, and serves as coverage for Environmental Tech absences. The Campus Float Technician responds to a variety of daily operational needs while delivering exceptional service to residents, and team members.


Part-time:  Monday-Friday (3-5 days/week), 4:00-9:00PM and weekends/holidays as needed.


Qualifications Required

  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Knowledge of cleaning equipment, tools, supplies, and techniques.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Skilled in oral and written communication.
  • Current driver’s license and be able to operate tractors and related machinery.
  • Ability to work effectively with staff from all departments and entities.
  • Speak, read, comprehend and write English in an understandable manner.


Essential Functions of the Job/Departmental expectations

  • Responsible for delivering packages and supplies as needed.
  • Assist with light Maintenance requests including light bulb change, clogged toilet, etc. 
  • Assists in evening event set up and tear down/clean up.
  • Completes preventative maintenance (PM’s) for Maintenance and IT Departments.
  • Assist with IT requests including TV, Cable, Call Lights, Telephones, etc.
  • Cover for Environmental Tech absences.
  • Assists maintenance in snow removal and lawn care.
  • Touch up Painting throughout Sartell Campus.
  • All other duties as assigned.
