Tower’s MANUFA Cable Technician specializes in high-volume, fast termination processes for basic and advanced Audio and Video cable termination. Cable Technicians are encouraged to take ownership of their work, manufacturing a high-quality product in a timely manner. Effective communication with the department Team Leader will continuously establish and improve quality on the assembly line. On-the-job training will be performed by the MANUFA Team Leader to ensure all cables are assembled properly. Tower Products Incorporated provides employees with state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment for the processing of coaxial cables, hand tools, equipment, and assembly procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Reference job lists and assigned work orders to complete customer orders and stock replenishment requirements.
- Receive and execute daily work order assignments as directed.
- Learn and utilize manufacturing systems for inventory picking, packing, kitting, work order processing, and Bill of Materials (BOM) management.
- Pick, pack, and kit materials according to BOM requirements and established procedures.
- Assemble products using approved manufacturing processes, including cable processing, tubing, gluing, soldering, and crimping procedures.
- Conduct visual inspections, mechanical inspections, and basic continuity testing on completed assemblies prior to final testing and approval.
- Provide critical in-process feedback to support product quality and process improvement.
- Produce high-quality products while meeting production deadlines and efficiency standards.
- Communicate effectively with the Team Leader and coworkers to maintain quality and productivity.
- Read, understand, and follow internal procedures, work instructions, company policies, and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation.
- Properly use required PPE and tools in accordance with company safety guidelines.
- Follow all requirements outlined in the Tower Products Incorporated Employee Handbook and Quality Policy Statement.
- Safely lift and move materials as needed, following established safe lifting practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with cables, connectors, interfaces, and small hand tools.
- Strong mathematical aptitude.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience performing detail-oriented work with accuracy in numbers and part numbers.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and learning new software applications.
- Ability to learn manufacturing processes, systems, and procedures.

- Ability to frequently walk, sit, use hands and hand tools, reach, and stretch throughout the workday.
- Ability to work and communicate effectively in a loud manufacturing environment.
- Safety-conscious mindset with commitment to PPE requirements and workplace safety practices.
- Physical ability to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, with adherence to safe lifting procedures.
- Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, including handwashing procedures at the end of shifts.
