Join our HR team as a Payroll & Benefits Specialist, where you'll play a key role in supporting employees through accurate payroll management, comprehensive benefits administration, and leave of absence (LOA) management.

Location Priority

We’re prioritizing candidates in New York (NY), New Jersey (NJ), Massachusetts (MA), Connecticut (CT), Maine (ME), New Hampshire (NH), Virginia (VA), and Maryland (MD) to strengthen regional collaboration. While we offer remote flexibility, these states are key to our growth strategy.

Job Description (Including but not limited to):

  • Manage day-to-day HR operations, including maintaining employee records and HR databases.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, terminations, and employee communications.
  • Process and support payroll operations, including data entry, audits, and coordination with payroll providers.
  • Utilize ADP TotalSource for payroll processing, employee data management, and benefits administration.
  • Administer employee leave of absence (LOA) programs, including FMLA, state leave, ADA accommodations, parental leave, and other company-sponsored leave policies. Coordinate leave requests, maintain documentation, communicate with employees and managers, and ensure compliance with applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Manage Reimbursement and Expense Reporting through Concur/SAP
  • Manage benefits administration through ADP TotalSource, including open enrollment, responding to employee inquiries, and reconciling benefits reports.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and legal regulations.
  • Prepare HR reports, payroll summaries, and required documentation.
  • Perform other payroll and HR-related duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or Certification in Human Resources preferred.
  • Experience with ADP TotalSource payroll and benefits administration strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of payroll processes and employee benefits programs.
  • Knowledge of leave of absence (LOA) administration, including FMLA, ADA, and applicable state leave laws.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Positive attitude and a strong desire to contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit, stand, and use standard office equipment for extended periods; occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required.

Working Conditions

This is a hybrid role with remote flexibility. Employees residing within 75 miles of the office may be required to work from the office routinely. Employees residing outside of 75 miles may be required to travel intermittently to the office (travel expenses covered by the company) and attend company-hosted events with advance notice.
