Description

Why this role matters

Our Distribution Centers are the heart of Blend Supply—the mixing-and-matching hubs where our aviation and industrial coatings come together and go out the door right. As Team Lead, you run that operation. You'll own safety, quality, production, inventory, receiving, paint matching and mixing, and shipping standards, and you'll set the pace and the standard for the whole DC.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes pride in a job done right and knows how to bring a team along with them. If you have the color eye of a paint matcher, the discipline of a strong operator, and the instincts of a leader, this is a place you can grow.

We're a family-owned company that takes AS9100 aerospace quality seriously and takes care of the people who deliver it. Our employees have voted Blend a Great Place to Work three years running—and we'd like you to see why.

We work with the best tools—including AI

Blend is fully on board with modern technology, and that includes AI. We actively use AI applications like Claude to help our team work smarter—handling the busywork so our people can focus on the work that takes real judgment. If you're curious about new tools and excited to work somewhere that gives you a real edge instead of holding you back, you'll fit right in.

What Blend offers

• Great Place to Work — certified three years in a row, voted by our own employees. That recognition comes from the people who work here, not from us.

• Paid time off that starts on day one: you accrue 15 days of PTO in your first year.

• 10 paid holidays each year.

• Modern tools, including AI like Claude, so your team spends its time on the work that matters.

• A family-owned culture where your ideas are heard and ownership is genuinely valued.

Requirements

What you'll do

You'll lead every aspect of the Distribution Center and partner with the DC Operations Manager on inventory management processes and activities. Day to day, that means:

• Mixing batches to manufacturer standards and formulas, and matching paint using our color match system, spray-outs, and quality control.

• Owning the entire receiving process at the DC.

• Picking, packaging, and shipping all orders to Blend Supply standards.

• Driving safety, productivity, and quality across all distribution operations, and keeping the warehouse neat and organized at all times.

• Cycle counting daily to keep inventory accurate.

• Communicating and collaborating constantly on orders, stocking, quality, and the information that drives good decisions.

• Working with management and quality assurance on prioritization and objectives and making sure all work follows Blend Supply policies and procedures.

You'll know and uphold all AS9100D work instructions and Blend operating systems, and you'll know every aspect of the DC well enough to perform any task in it effectively and efficiently. Other duties may be assigned as the operation needs.

• Problem Solving — Identifies and resolves problems quickly, gathers and analyzes information skillfully, develops solutions, and keeps a level head even on emotional topics.

What you'll bring

• Education: Associate's Degree a plus

• Experience:  Three plus years in supply chain, logistics, and/or inventory management with advancing responsibilities.

• Paint expertise: Paint matching, mixing, and tinting experience, with a demonstrated ability to accurately match color specifications - a big plus.

Computer skills: Knowledge of an inventory and order processing system (Prophet 21) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

The physical side of the job

We want to be upfront about what the work involves so it's the right fit for you.

While performing this job, you'll regularly use your hands to handle and feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear. You'll frequently sit, and occasionally stand, walk, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. You may be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include color vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Work environment: You may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. Safety items such as respirators and glasses are required in all posted areas. Noise level is usually moderate.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this role.
