Schedule: Full-Time | Four 10-hour shifts or Five 8-hour shifts | One Saturday per month
Pay: $18–$22 per hour, depending on experience

Saugus Animal Hospital is looking for a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to become part of our collaborative, patient-focused team. We are a busy three-doctor small animal practice committed to delivering high-quality medicine while creating a supportive environment for both our clients and staff.

Responsibilities

As a Veterinary Assistant, you'll play an important role in keeping our hospital running smoothly by:

• Assisting doctors and technicians during appointments and treatments
• Safely restraining patients for examinations and procedures
• Preparing exam rooms and treatment areas
• Cleaning, sterilizing, and maintaining medical equipment
• Monitoring hospitalized patients and reporting concerns
• Collecting laboratory samples and assisting with diagnostic testing
• Supporting surgical preparation and recovery
• Communicating with pet owners while providing exceptional customer service
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe hospital environment

Qualifications

We're looking for someone who has:

• Previous experience working as a Veterinary Assistant- 2+ years of experience preferred
• Strong patient handling and restraint skills
• A positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
• Excellent communication and client service skills
• The ability to multitask in a fast-paced hospital setting
• Strong attention to detail and dependability

Schedule

• Full-time position
• Choose between four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts
• One Saturday shift each month is required
