HR Base Wage "BASED ON EXPERIENCE"

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Cell Leader to support and manage manufacturing operations within our medical device production environment. This role is responsible for overseeing a range of processes, from manual operations such as buffing and straightening to advanced machining areas utilizing CNC grinders. The Cell Leader will ensure safe, compliant, and efficient execution of daily production while developing team capability and meeting schedule, quality, and cost objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day operations within the assigned manufacturing area, ensuring production schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements are met
  • Manage and support team members, including onboarding, training, cross-training, and ongoing performance development
  • Ensure adherence to established work instructions, SOPs, ISO-13485 and internal quality system requirements
  • Coordinate production schedules, staffing, and workflow to meet customer and business demands
  • Troubleshoot process issues and collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance to drive continuous improvement
  • Monitor key performance metrics (safety, quality, delivery, scrap, efficiency) and take corrective action as needed
  • Support audits, validations, and documentation requirements
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement (Lean/CI mindset)

Required Qualifications

  • Experience leading or supervising manufacturing teams in a medical device or regulated manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on knowledge of manual manufacturing processes (e.g., buffing, straightening, finishing) and CNC grinding or machining operations
  • Strong understanding of quality systems, documentation, and compliance requirements
  • Proven ability to train, mentor, and motivate team members
  • Solid problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior Cell Leader, Lead Operator, or Supervisor experience
  • Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience
  • Experience with CNC grinders and precision manufacturing environments
  • Technical or trade background (machining, manufacturing, or related discipline)

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing floor environment with both manual and CNC-based operations
  • Requires hands-on leadership presence and collaboration across shifts and departments
