Starting pay: $35.53 plus overtime available

Shift: 6PM – 6AM on the 223 schedule

Job Description

Essential Job Functions:

Essential Job Functions:
• Adjusts and/or repair all equipment in the department
• Inspects products for defects and record results on required forms
• Inform supervisor if any defects are found
• Perform all required quality checks and document them as required
• Reject material that does not meet specifications and provide samples as required
• Lubricate all equipment in the department as required
• Sets up and performs changeovers. Follows schedule as published
• Occasional forklift operation
• Observe all rules of safety

Job Requirements:

Proven background in manufacturing or similar production environment
Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and drawings
Ability to use measuring hand tools to set up and maintain all can line machinery and associated equipment
Critical and logical thinking ability
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Possess ability for basic computer skills
Ability to work with little supervision
Able to work at heights including use of steps and ladders

Experience/Education:

High school diploma or equivalent
Journeyman Mechanic plus
2+ years as an Industrial Mechanic in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Requirements:

Lift truck driver’s certification

Physical Requirements:

Ability to kneel, stoop, crawl, squat, and stand for extended periods, while running machinery up to 12 hours
Must possess adequate upper body strength to repeatedly pull or push hand tools in order to make, repair, or adjust parts and/or machines
Ability to lift 40 pounds
Ability to be in constant motion about 50-70% of shifts
