Job Summary
MacLean-Fogg is hiring a Shipping Material Handler at our Savanna, Illinois facility. In this role, you will support shipping, receiving, inventory movement, and material flow while working closely with manufacturing and warehouse teams to keep operations safe and efficient.
Location: Savanna, IL
Work Arrangement: On-site
Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
Pay: $19.00–$22.00/hour
Employment Type: Full-time / Hourly
Overtime: Overtime may be required based on business needs.
What You'll Do as a Shipping Material Handler
Process, prepare, and load shipments accurately and on time.
Safely operate powered industrial and warehouse equipment to move materials and products.
Receive, weigh, stock, transport, pack, and stage inbound and outbound materials and products.
Load and unload trucks while helping ensure the safe handling and transport of materials.
Use JDE, RFS, and RF technology to record and transact inventory and product movements.
Transport raw materials to designated work centers to support a continuous supply for production.
Support inventory accuracy through inventory maintenance and cycle or physical counts.
Verify that products are properly labeled, packaged, organized, and inspected for damage to maintain quality standards.
What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience operating powered industrial equipment.
Basic verbal and written communication skills.
Basic mathematical skills.
Strong attention to detail and time-management skills.
Ability to identify and solve routine problems.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Working knowledge relevant to material handling and warehouse operations.
Preferred Qualifications
1-3 years of related experience.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This role is performed in a warehouse and manufacturing environment and involves working around industrial and material-handling equipment.
Ability to push or pull objects weighing up to 30 pounds.
Manual dexterity to handle small objects.
Ability to work in noisy environments.
