What Makes a McKibbon Hotel Banquet Captain?
The hotel's Banquet Captain is accountable for the daily operations of all Banquet/Catering events and space. The Banquet Captain is committed to guest satisfaction and providing a great experience for all guests while Embrace the McKibbon Guiding Principles.
A Day in the Life:
You will serve as the main contact for the Client host of the Banquet/Event, checking-in with them regularly to ensure satisfaction.
Work with the hotels’ sales team to ensure that all meeting spaces are properly supplied and maintained.
You will be responsible for assisting in the maintaining the inventory of the banquet department, like budgeting, food costs, coding invoices, etc.
You will help to train new hires on all Banquet standards of service and set-ups
Requirements
3 years’ minimum experience in a banquet or event role
Previous experience in a supervisor position is a plus
Experience working at a hotel establishment (highly desired)
The ability to maintain service standards
The ability and drive to personify our culture in every interaction with guests and associates
The ability to perform initial and ongoing training of associates
The ability to deliver on the quality of service that guests deserve and expect
