Our employees are the foundation of our success, and we’re committed to providing a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.  Position Summary The Janitorial Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency of both office and warehouse facilities. This hybrid role blends janitorial duties with general maintenance tasks to ensure that all areas and equipment are functional, organized, and well-kept. The position is based at the Birk A and B facilities and may involve operating sweepers, forklifts, and light maintenance tools.  Key Responsibilities Janitorial Duties Maintain cleanliness in office areas, hallways, restrooms, break rooms, and common spaces. Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in both administrative and warehouse areas. Clean and sanitize restrooms, restock supplies, and empty trash and recycling bins. Wipe down windows, doors, light fixtures, and high-touch surfaces. Operate warehouse sweeper machines to keep aisles and docks clear and safe. Ensure cleaning supplies and sanitation materials are properly stored and labeled.  Maintenance Duties Conduct routine inspections of building systems, equipment, and workspaces. Perform preventative maintenance on electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Troubleshoot and repair basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues. Repair or replace damaged fixtures, doors, windows, drywall, and paint as needed. Perform minor carpentry and structural repairs. Apply preventative measures such as sealing leaks or reinforcing structures. Maintain outdoor and landscaping areas as needed to ensure a clean exterior environment.  Safety and Compliance Follow all facility safety, sanitation, and environmental guidelines. Report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, and maintenance needs promptly. Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks, inspections, and repairs. Support emergency maintenance responses and on-call assignments as required.  Employment Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age. High school diploma or equivalent required. Must pass a criminal background check and E-Verify screening. Prior janitorial or maintenance experience preferred; will train the right candidate. Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.  Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment can be loud at times. Large temperature fluctuations in the facility are common and change seasonally.  Schedules: Must be willing to work all shifts to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
